Taking the Bus from Munich

Travellers using buses from Munich to Cologne will depart from Munich ZOB or main bus station in the central Hackerbrucke district. The striking, highly modern station is a city landmark and is right next door to the main railway station. Travellers can reach the rail station by local 'Hackerbrucke' S-Bahn train (lines S1 to S8) or take local tram services including the 16 and 17. Local MVG buses also stop at the station and taxis will be happy to fetch travellers from any district.

Getting into Cologne by Bus

Cologne enjoys an exciting location on the famous River Rhine and is one of Germany's most beautiful cities. The Kolner Dom (cathedral) and Great St. Martin Church or unique attractions like Kolumba appeal to all tastes. Most buses from Munich to Cologne arrive at the city's ZOB or main bus station at Breslauer Platz which is adjacent to the Hauptbahnhof or railway station. Travellers can reach most parts of the city easily by public transport and S-Bahn, U-Bahn trains and trams connect each district. Those travelling by Megabus will arrive at the new bus station at Gummersbacher Str in the Deutz district which is just across the River Rhine from the ZOB and close to the Koln/Messe/Deutz S-Bahn stop. Local bus services run throughout the day and night buses are also available.
